REF Board Members

The members of the board are volunteers who are appointed for three year terms.

Are you someone who:

• Has a passion for public education
• Loves the Ridley community
• Wants to be instrumental in the growth of a non-profit organization
• Would like to enrich the educational experiences of all Ridley School District students
• Has 4-5 hours a month

Board of Directors

Gail Heinemeyer – President
Gail is a graduate of the Ridley District and served as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator for 45 years. She has been on the REF board since 2007. A graduate of Ursinus College and Villanova University, she is the Director of the Association for Middle Level Education”s Leadership Institute and provides professional development to schools across the country. She currently serves on the Southeastern Regional Board of the Pennsylvania Association for Middle Level Education.

Linda Hosbach – Vice-President
Linda along with her husband and three sons are graduates of The Ridley District. She is Vice President of the Ridley Educational Foundation and President of the Friends of the Ridley Park Library which raises money for children and adult programs at the Library. Linda is also on the Ridley Park Zoning Hearing Board.

Laura Walls – Secretary
Laura has lived in Ridley Park for 20 years. She is a graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from their Communication Design program. Laura went on to work at QVC in West Chester for 12 years as a design manager of all their printed material. She served on the Home and School Board of Lakeview Elementary for 5 years, and was President for one of them. Laura and her husband, Jim, have two children who are Ridley students.

Kay Rainford – Treasurer

Megan Cini
Megan has served as Health and Physical Education teacher in the Ridley School for 15 years, both at the High school and Elementary levels. She is currently teaching at Leedom Elementary School.  She has been on the REF board since 2017. A graduate of West Chester University. She was awarded the FMFCU Delaware County Excellence in Teaching Award in 2018 for the Ridley School District.

Danielle is a lifelong resident of Ridley Township and a 2006 graduate of Ridley High School. She is a Relationship Manager with Franklin Mint FCU and Mom to two amazing kids(both Ridley students!). Danielle joined the board in 2020.

Christine McMenamin
Christine is a resident of Ridley Township and has served on the Ridley Board of School Directors for the Ridley School District since 2003. She had been a member of the Ridley Educational Foundation for more than 15 years. Christine and her husband are the proud parents of 4 Ridley High School graduates. When she is not volunteering she works as an accountant for Brinker Simpson, LLC.

MaryAnn Salerno
MaryAnn has worked for the Ridley School District since August 1988.  She was a secretary in the high school principal’s office for 19 years before moving into district administration in September 2007.  Currently, she serves as Board Services Coordinator. A 1971 Graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, MaryAnn is married, with 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She had been as the Secretary of Ridley Educational Foundation and currently helps with various fundraisers.
